Summary:
Provide friendly phone, modem and on-site support for our clients using MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 accounting software. Investigate and resolve MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 user application problems. Assist in the sales support cycle, training, planning and consulting of new installations, implementations and upgrades.
This position has no standard hourly duties or time assignments and is based upon a 40-hour workweek. Additional time may be required to complete all necessary tasks. Although office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, five (5) days per week, employee will determine time(s) required to complete necessary tasks and has considerable freedom of choice to carry out supporting tasks for all clients.
Support of MAS90 / MAS200 / MAS500 Accounting Software:
Provide phone, modem and on-site support to users experiencing problems with MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 software applications. Research source of errors, resolve problems and recommend program changes. Answer client inquiries in regards to specific software such as MAS90/MAS200/MAS500, database, printing and operating systems. Help in teaching procedures and answer all client requests for information. Assist MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 users in consultation of account imbalances, etc. Correction of client technical problems including those that may impact data files on client systems.
Installation & Implementation of MAS90 / MAS200 / MAS500 Accounting Software:
Project manage new installations of MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 application software, server applications and peripheral drivers at client site. Test for compatibility and proper function of applications including Sage authorized third party software products. (FRx, F9, Crystal Reports). Assist in planning and consulting of client software upgrades. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in written and verbal form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Data Import / Export and Report Writer:
Assist in the design or creation of data imports and exports of accounting related data. Create custom reports using programming language or reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports, Excel and SQL Queries.
Product Demonstration / Sales:
Assist sales staff with product demonstrations to potential customers. Must be able to assess prospect business needs and show how software will work / solve issues. Always be on the look out for prospective sales opportunities when working with clients. Recommend new / additional products and pursue the sales opportunity or refer to sales staff.

The position requires continuous exercise of discretion and independent judgment based upon the special skills and knowledge described herein.
Must possess valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance of equal to or greater than company recommended liability limits with a willingness to utilize personal vehicle as needed in connection with job responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Two (2) to four (4) years college education preferred. One (1) to two (2) years experience using or trouble shooting MAS90/MAS200/MAS500 products and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Accounting knowledge and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts as necessary to assist MAS90/MAS200 users in consultation of account imbalances, etc.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written and verbal form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Must have good working knowledge of basic accounting skills, especially in MAS90/ MAS200/MAS500 application software programs.
