Linux Development Engineer

TEKsystems is conducting a search for a Linux Development Engineer for our client in Columbia, SC. This position is a permanent opportunity and is available immediately.Our client is looking for a Linux Development Engineer who will be responsible for designing and writing specifications based on consultations with managers, systems analysts, other programmers and end users.This person must be able to covert designs and specifications into software. This person will also analyze code and revise program for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes. This position requires 5+ years of experience in Linux, PostgreSQL or MySQL, C and PHP Programming. Experience in Linux system programming is preferred, and C++ Programming is a plus.
