Job Responsibilities: This Lead Software Engineer position will be responsible for working with researchers and developers to build components for the core platform for Video metadata and content analysis, search and recommendations. This person should be creative, flexible and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Essential Job Functions: Develop and Lead a world-class Quality Assurance team -Design and develop Core System components primarily in JAVA to be used by other application development teams. The core system components can be in the area of Video Metadata and content Analysis, search, personalization -Documents the technical design, APIs and system architecture for the components-Interacts effectively with other developers and is open to a pairs programming paradigm - Interacts effectively with StreamSage researchers and converts their ideas and algorithms into core platform components -Develop and deliver status presentations

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field -At least 3-5 years of solid JAVA experience and server side programming-Strong knowledge of Java Collections, Java Generic, JDBC api calls, relational database design -Strong knowledge of Data structure fundamentals and algorithms -Proven communication skills and the ability to work with remote and external teams • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, C++, Hibernate and software design and architecture, distributed and parallel computing, search technologies desirable Comcast is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
