We are currently seeking an Oracle DBA Team Leader for one of our clients. The candidate should know Oracle 9 & 10. The position consists of 75% hands on and 25% team lead for 4 employees. The role is primarily production support but encompasses some development and QA so the candidate should be well-rounded.
The Team Lead organizes the plans on a multi-tiered level and ensures the integrity of the system by managing the data models, repositories, data warehouses, and implementing detailed schedules to pursue the projects. They will create and formalize standards relating to the RDBMS, requests procedures, naming standards and usage. They will also assist with the evaluation process of purchasing software packages to solve business issues.

Requirements:Knowledgeable in support of database methodology, database tuning techniques, application tuning techniques, thorough SQL knowledge, query tools usage, and good communication protocol Must be able to understand and apply Oracle concepts and have experience with Oracle 9 and 10 Provision IS support for the Database Administration based applications Plan, Define, and Implement multi-tiered database systems in accordance with the Project Managers by identifying data resources, generate a project schedule, and coordinate the tasks Generate Standards and Procedures for database layouts, naming conventions, tasks/reports/queries, documentation and communication standards Manage a Strategy for the database monitoring and optimizing by monitoring usage of system buffers, freespace, extents, alert logs, statistics by viewing online data and offline reports Manage a Strategy for the database integrity by ensuring backups and redo log archives are executing properly, coordinating reorgs for data movements and index rebuilds, coordinating statistic refreshes for SQL access optimization Provide technical assistance in problem analysis for developers, help desk, and other information services personnel especially with SQL optimization, data management, and change management Create the appropriate documentation for the databases and any procedures associated with them including data models and global SOPs Install and support peripheral hardware
