CGI Federal is seeking a Lead Java Developer responsible for leading multiple projects at the USPTO, and will work within Agile Scrum teams to develop complex IT systems. The Lead Developer will oversee coding, testing, implementation and documentation for highly complex programs and systems. This includes analysis of existing systems, preparation of detailed specification documents, product troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities will include:
•Lead the design, development, and support of complex business solutions
•Lead a team of developers to code, test, debug, deploy and support new systems or modifications to existing systems
•Conduct Agile sprints using an Integrated Scrum team
•Coordinate with contract management, client management, and the Lead Architect to formulate complex technical solutions
•Lead development teams and activities in achieving system performance, cost and schedule goals
•Provide technical leadership to internal and external personnel on highly complex system design and development projects
•Coordinate and manage development activities for multiple hardware and software vendors on large scale IT projects
•Assist with the development of proposals and business development efforts in new markets or current accounts
•Establish strong client relationships to ensure customer engagement and satisfaction

Required Skills:
•Experience with J2EE technologies with interoperable web services
•Experience using Agile development incorporating Scrum teams and project sprints
•Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
•Experience with the full System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
•Experience with XML
•Knowledge in WebSphere and JBoss Application Server, JBoss Logging API, JUnit, and JBoss EAP
•Knowledge of Alfresco, EMC and/or NetApp
•Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Strong communication skills
•Strong leadership skills
•Strong project management skills
•Ability to quickly adapt to new projects and multiple accounts as needed

Desired Skills:
•Experience in EJB, SOAP, WSDL and Spring is preferred
•Strong experience with SQL and databases required. Oracle 11g experience is preferred
•Experience with UI development such as JSPs, JavaScript and jQuery is a big plus
•Experience with Eclipse required, and other IDEs are a plus
