Lead Embedded Ethernet Software Engineer
This individual will be an accomplished systems designer/developer with embedded real time Linux skills. They must be tuned into the standard distribution community, fluent in drivers, task prioritization, threading and interprocess communications. Have excellent design documentation skills, unit test methodology and debug skills. The ability to work as part of a dedicated project team designing and developing our next generation of Ethernet applications based upon IETF, Metro Ethernet Forum, IEEE, and ITU standards. The Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in the initiation of, and productization of new and innovative solutions. This individual will have Embedded Linux responsibilities including:· Optimization of real time characteristics of Linux in terms of interrupt latency and context switching · Linux tool/build chain installation and customization · Development & Debugging of complex embedded systems using standard GNU tools · Customization of Linux kernel for various embedded processor architectures · Object Oriented C++ development The will have Embedded Systems Skills including: · Embedded communication systems(real time kernel, distributed architecture, high availability, hitless dataplane) · Proficiency in C++ and Object Oriented Design · Proven Software product lifecycle including design, development, test and support · Excellent written and communication skills The ideal person will have a BSCS/MSCS or very closely related Degree and 7+ years of industry experience.
