This new personal lines insurance system will integrate with billing, stat and claims systems across the organization. The lead will be someone who answers questions, works easily with remote management, and is comfortable frequently interacting with our business community. As the right hand to our Applications Manager, you will be positioned on our Personal Lines Team in the Applications department.Design and develop complex systems and components independently, or as part of a team, for assigned business application projects on time and within budget with high quality to meet the business needs of the organization. 2. Create and manage technical task plans for large projects. 3. Lead or perform component unit testing and system integration testing clearly explaining the results for assigned business application projects. 4. Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify tasks, resources, and target dates to implement assigned business projects on time and within budget with high quality. 5. Lead the technical team to develop components, correct problems, and understand technical aspects of assigned projects. 6. Review and analyze available resources, to include but not limited to documentation, workflow, high level and low level designs, and project initiation worksheets for assigned development requests and tasks. 7. Document components developed to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical personnel the required development or modifications, and impact to other areas. 8. Independently select and use productivity tools and utilities to increase efficiency. 9. Improve processes within the Company to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers.Qualifications:Minimum qualification include: Bachelors degree in Information Management, Business, or related field or its equivalent and continuing education related to the job. 3 or more years experience developing applications. Technical skills could include Uniface, .NET, CSS, HTML, XML, Java Script, Ajax, C#, COBOLSuperior verbal communication skills and be proficient in written, functional and technical communications. Ability to work independently, with limited task level direction and possibly under remote management.
