Junior Software Engineer

The client will not sponsor visa candidates; only permanent residents or US citizens will be considered.NextStage Capital has just invested in an exciting Internet company that is building the next-generation recruiting marketplace platform.  Because of the company's growth, they are looking to add a Junior Software Engineer to complete assigned tasks related to the development and implementation of web based applications for both internal and external use.

In this pivotal role, the candidate will join the core technology team and will be responsible for core technology initiatives.He/she will be working on the development and implementation of web based applications for both internal and external use. The candidate will work closely with cross functional teams (Engineering, Customer Experience, Business, Quality Assurance), using knowledge of Java/XML/HTML/CSS to help build new applications as a part of a small team of developers and architects in an exciting agile and fast paced environment. The candidate will also support Production Environment when needed. BS/BA in Computer Science, Design, or related discipline Knowledge of full life cycle development process Basic Linux/Unix OS knowledge required. Apache/Tomcat experience a plus. 1-2 years experience developing complete Java-based, database-driven web applications 1-2 years experience in OOAD and software development using Java, Java Servlets and XML 1-2 years experience in using SQL to query relational databases (RDBMS) 1-2 years experience in web development, including HTML, CSS. Flash experience a plus 1-2 years experience in web development using AJAX and JavaScript
