Junior ColdFusion Developer
Job Description:
Distributed Information Technologies (DIT) has an opening for a ColdFusion Developer located in Arlington, VA. The ColdFusion Developer will work with a team of developers on a variety of software development projects that meet the needs of clients across a wide array of sectors including not-for-profit, US federal government, US Military and private corporations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the development and maintenance of a variety of large and small web applications. Work with the Project manager and team to execute on items from our issue tracking system. Implement bug fixes and add minor functional enhancements to existing applications; provide development support on new applications.
Required Technical Competencies:
- Must possess fundamental understanding of HTML
- Prior training or minor development in ColdFusion
- Experience with writing SQL statements
- Experience with Javascript
- Ability to learn and comprehend new development technologies, including but not limited to external API function such as Google Web Tool Kit, Google Earth or various .NET API’s.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with multiple web languages, preferably Java, Flex and .NET
- Must Possess excellent teamwork skills
- Must Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Education/ Level of Experience:
- A BS Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Up to 2 year’s practical development experience within ColdFusion or other programming languages
- Able to obtain a clearance equivalent to US Secret, or NACI/Public Trust
