Knowledge of web applications and architecture is required. This job covers architecture and support of a Software as a Service (SaaS) company that operates mission critical Identity Management infrastructure on our customers’ behalf, supporting an agile development environment, and maintaining the IT systems that Symplified employees use on a day to day basis. Tasks candidates will perform•  Support development environment running VMWare, Linux, Windows, and Mac•  Support office LAN containing Mac’s and PC’s•  Assist in maintaining production server environment running at off-site datacenter•  Assist in network configuration and security design•  Monitor environment and troubleshoot issues•  Rotate being on call 24/7 for second-tier support•  Create and execute backup and recovery plans•  Grow into more senior responsibilities including: remote and on-site implementation of Symplified’s software service, server and network monitoring responsibility, backup and recovery•  Other duties as assigned by managementProfile / Requirements•  System administration skills Windows (server and desktop), Linux (Red Hat / CentOS), and OSX Understanding of remote access technology (VPN, SSH, Terminal Services) Understanding of Server Virtualization Technologies (VMware, QEMU, Etc.)•  Production support Experience in high availability, redundancy, medium to large scale web applications. Experience maintaining a SaaS deployment architecture a plus Track record in maintaining production environments with 24x7 availability Understanding of networking and web application delivery•  Network design, maintenance, and security Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, subnets, network design, and IP routing Experience with DHCP, DNS, Proxy, LDAP, HTTP and other network protocols Experience with network security monitoring and management Knowledge of security products such as Authentication, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems•  Customer Service Understands that customers are what drive a company and knows how to provide excellent service Knowledge and experience in Identity Management preferred Represents company well over the phone•  Work ability / organization skills Enjoys start-up atmosphere and is able to put in the time necessary to make the company a success Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks and take own initiative to coordinate and complete tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills May be required to travel to customer sites or Symplified collocation facilitiesEducation•  Bachelor’s Degree in CS or equivalent work experience, or AA degree•  Technical Certifications a plusCompensation•  Depending on Experience•  Medical / Dental / Vision / Life insurance•  Bus pass available•  Paid time for volunteer workContact•  Please send resumes to jobs4@symplified.com
