Client: A rapidly growing Information Assurance company headquartered in Reston, VA with critical skills in transforming security practices, operations and management for Public Sector clients.

End Client: Classified

Title of Position: Jr. Functional Engineer

Location/ City/ State:  Choice of Rockville or Lanham, MD

Contract or Perm: Contract

Length of Contract portion:  5 months

Start Date: September 29, 2008

Work Status Requirement:  US Citizen, clearable and interested in obtaining Secret Clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred.

Logistics: 5 Day Week

 

Job Duties:

·Conduct system verification and validation by examining the systems’s correctness, completeness, and reliability at EACH STEP IN THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS.

·Identify flaws and errors that effect the system’s maintainability as early as possible in the development life cycle.

·Conduct complete life cycle Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of simple and combined systems.

·Review test plans and test specifications in order to produce auditing responses and associated documentation.

·Contribute to formal test result reports and presentations of same.

·Report inaccuracies and discrepancies through detailed documentation to the Project Leader.

 

Qualifications:

·Capability to conduct IV&V activities on modifications and enhancements under guidance and supervision.

·  Ability to identify changes to the system’s initial design under guidance and supervision.

·  Ability to follow Test Procedures and document results accurately within Test Reports.

·  Ability to properly document if system fulfills its requirements and is in compliance with its intended design.

·  Bachelors Degree preferred.

·  Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (background and credit history).
