Java Developer w/ Oracle 10g

Modis is currently seeking a qualified Java / J2EE Developer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Morristown, NJ area.This project is expected to start within the next 3-4 weeks and last for an initial duration of 24 months.  There is a very high likelihood of contract extension and /or full time conversion.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Java Developer will be participating in the design and development of web-based applications.  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Qualified individuals must have a post-graduate Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field.  (Candidates will be asked to verify educational history during the interview process) - Must be highly motivated and self directed with the ability to work successfully under minimal supervision - Oracle & Java Certifications are preferred - Excellent problem solving capabilitiesREQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS - Expert Java / J2EE Development with experience using JSP, Servlets, Beans, EJBs, and XML - Very strong Oracle 10g, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience - Strong front-end development skills in HTML, HDML, DHTML, UML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSLT - Candidates must have used Eclipse, SQL Navigator/TOAD, Apache, Tomcat, UNIX (Solaris), Oracle 8i/9i/10g for production-level projects - Experience using Tomcat, Apache, Oracle 9i AS or Oracle 10G Application Server, Web Logic (Desired but not required) - Spring, Hibernate, Java Server Faces knowledge/experience required. - Must have experience developing with Spring framework and Hibernate - Excellent web database application development experience using MVC Architecture - Experience with Ajax & developing Java web services - Experience with JSF is a plus**Local candidates are highly preferred.  Candidates not local to the New Jersey area must be willing to interview in-person and relocate at his/her own expense.
