Java Developer Position Available!!!

We have a Java Developer position available with our client located in the Marlborough, MA area. Requirements:

• 7 years or more experience in systems design, development, and testing in technologies such as Java, J2EE, EJB, Oracle and Messaging.

• 5+ years of Object-oriented design experience and strong understanding of the architectural design concepts of complex N-tiered applications.

• Hands-on design and development experience of common Java patterns, distributed cache designs and their implementation.

• Strong knowledge of Unix, Oracle and PL/SQL.

• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with XSLT and web technologies such as XML, JSF, ASP, and Struts highly desirable.

• Experience with Agile methodologies highly desirable.

• Flexible, team oriented, self-starting, goal-focused, capable of working with minimal supervision.

• The position is 50% development and 50% design/directing consultant resources.  We are seeking an individual that has led small teams and has had ownership and delivery responsibilities.  This individual will be able to work with minimal supervision and will have a strong aptitude to learn and grow.

• Hands-on design and development experience of common Java patterns, distributed cache designs and their implementation.  Common tools to look for that are examples of distributed cache designs include Oracle Streams and Tangosol Coherence.

• Financial Services experience is a plus.  Trading or Compliance experience would also be a plus.

• Must be US Citizen or Green card holder.
