Java Developer - Integration experience required

Venture-backed software-company in the Boston area seeks a seasoned individual to join a growing professional services team. The successful candidate will have a solid track record that includes complex implementations, data analysis, data migrations and system integrations and interfaces. The ideal candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, and an ability to lead and contribute to the design of solutions to our various systems integration and conversion projects.

This is not an application software engineer position. This is a systems integration position that may have application software development components as these components are needed to drive continuity around our customer*s business process and the extensibility of our product stack for that customer.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include acting as a senior-level resource on the team, analyzing existing customer data and designing and developing tools required for data manipulation and integration, and providing technical assistance for the implementation and integration of an enterprise-class software solution.

The position will at times require the ability to develop application software to facilitate the extensibility of our product for a specific customer need that may not fall within our overall product strategy.

The position requires in depth knowledge of J2EE, Java, and SQL. Experience with SOAP or enterprise system bus technologies is a big plus.

Competencies and Experience Required:

*Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a software development or consulting role with at least 2 years being systems integration centered
*Experience with industry standard system integration products or enterprise system bus technologies
*Hands-on development experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP and SQL
*Hands-on experience developing software interfaces and applications that allow two disparate systems to interact to facilitate a seamless business process
*Hand-on experience working with complex data analysis and data migrations, including source to target data mapping, transformation, transport, and results reconciliation
*Demonstrable experience with system conversion related projects
*Strong object oriented programming skills
*Solid oral and written presentation skills
*Previous experience with complex, customer-facing projects
*Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment
*Strong problem solving skills
*Prior experience with healthcare applications is desired
*Prior experience working in an Agile Programming environment is desired.
