Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the Company’s ERP system.  Manages and supports all JD Edwards (JDE) OneWorld and related environments including development, testing, and production.  Supports all Company organizations to ensure  uptime, database integrity, and related activities.  Keeps abreast of current technologies within the industry as they influence or impact the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Manages and maintains installations of Upper Deck’s ERP system – JDE OneWorld.

· Troubleshoots and resolves all JDE OneWorld CNC related issues; ensures maximum uptime.

· Deploys/generates JDE OneWorld updates, partial packages, and full packages to meet business requirements.

· Supports the installation of new releases, bug fixes, and service packs.

· Manages and maintains all JDE OneWorld and related SQL databases including setup, performance management, and maintenance using best practices.

· Supports all existing SQL databases in conjunction with the Database Administrator.

· Manages and maintains all JDE OneWorld integrations and related software and systems.

· Manages backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery documentation as it relates to JDE OneWorld.  Perform periodic testing of backups to ensure successful recovery options.

· Manages JDE OneWorld-related security and user setup.

· Designs, develops, and deploys additional relational databases as required to support JDE OneWorld. Manages storage and maintenance for databases specific to OneWorld.

· Authors technical documentation; responsible for all documentation related to job position.

· Supports day-to-day operations for all functional areas and develops solutions; works in concert with other IT organizational groups to ensure a solid support structure for the end user community.

· Keeps abreast of current technologies within the industry as they influence or impact the organization.

· Works with end users as needed – creates and provides training in a one-on-one or group setting; establishes training guidelines; develops end user documentation and training materials as required 

· Manages and assigns all JDE related inbound tasks to appropriate IT staff for resolution 

 INTERACTION

 

Interacts closely with the ERP Application Manager and the IT Department.  In addition, the CNC Administrator interacts with all levels of Company personnel and external vendors and must feel comfortable communicating in various media such as written documentation, presentations, e-mail, demonstrations, and training.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Not applicable.  Will manage projects as needed as it applies to this position.

 EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

 

· BS/BA Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.

· 3+ years of hands on JDE OneWorld CNC experience and expertise.

· Additional professional education in JDE OneWorld CNC, OCM, and SQL strongly desired.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

· Strong understanding of the JDE OneWorld Tool Set and environments

· Strong understanding of relational database technology; specifically Microsoft SQL

· Hands-on experience with the JDE OneWorld web server and web generation process

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows 2000/2003 Server, and Windows XP.

· Hands-on experience with virtual servers – both Microsoft and VMware.

· Understanding of standard IT best practices related to business application development and implementation.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.

· Excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Strong interpersonal, problem solving, troubleshooting, and customer service abilities.

· Professional demeanor; team player; ability to interface with internal and external parties.

· Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.

· Hands on, energetic, and motivated self starter.

· Ability to be on-call beyond normal business hours and on weekends.

· Ability to drive and travel on behalf of the Company.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (preferred but not required)

 

· Experience upgrading from XE to version 8

· Hands-on experience with DSI dcLINK, Premier SmartCommerce, and other JD Edwards JDE OneWorld integrations.
