J2EE Interface Lead

*****Citizen Only Position****Modis is one of the world's largest and most respected providers of Information Technology Resource Management (ITRM) services and solutions.  Today, Modis delivers world-class ITRM solutions to over 2,000 clients in the United States, Canada, and Europe.  Modis is currently seeking a J2EE Interface Lead for a multi year engagement with a Large Goverment Integrator supporting the Department of Homeland Security. The application that is being developed is going to be highly visible throughout the Government. Location: Herndon, VA Requirements: Daily responsibilities include: ·  Interfaces on multi-disciplinary end-to-end solutions including the design, development, testing, and deployment using Java and J2EE development components (Struts, Swing, Hibernate, Servlet, JSP and EJB's), paradigm and patterns.·  Work closely with the client team, requirements team, the data development team, and external other data owners to define and implement a service oriented systems architecture that meets defined functional, security, and operational requirements·  Operate within a high paced, test driven, iterative development model by defining iterations for implementation, re-factoring the design and managing the implementation·  Define interface standards, design patterns to be used, development platforms and develop J2EE code for critical functional components·  Work with business and technical owners to create Interface Com·  Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies, evaluating tools and technologies as required·  Serve as a mentor for junior team members  Selected individual will be a highly motivated individual who works well in a inter-disciplinary team. This position requires substantial Customer interaction during design and development.Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years or more of professional experience. Required skills – ·  Strong experience in software engineering, architecture, design, and development is required. ·  Ability to analyze business and functional requirements to understand the detailed system and technical requirements.·  Proven experience in defining and implementing a services oriented architecture (SOA using web services, XML)·  Proven ability to interface with Legacy Applications using techniques such as direct data links, screen scraping over terminal services, web scraping, and data extracts·  Experience in UML modeling using MagicDraw or equivalent tool.·  Proven experience working with enterprise class J2EE distributed web applications using Spring Framework, Struts and Hibernate.·  Experience with configuring and managing an enterprise class application server (Websphere, Resin, Tomcat, Apache or similar) ·  Strong experience with XML technologies like schemas, style sheets, DOM and SAX.·  Experience in implementing workflow management using custom or COTS workflow tools.·  Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills·  Ability to work within an Agile development framework·  Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Desired skills – ·  Experience with Web 2.0 technologies is a definite plus·  Model driven development using AndroMDA·  Experience in participating in a full life cycle Agile implementation.·  Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies Travel Percentage: 35% ******** For immediate consideration please forward your resume to simona.gupta@modisit.com******* Job Reference Code: J2EE Interface Lead Company: Modis, Inc.
