Yoh has an opening for an Inventory Asset Specialist in Palo Alto, California.  This position is a long term contract with SAP Americas. SAP was founded in 1972 and is today one of the world's largest independent business software providers and one of the three largest independent software companies based on market capitalization.Description: The technician in this position requires minimal supervision; Performs Internal Services and Asset management tasks as specified by the IS/AM manager. Internal Services tasks include IT material procurement, handling and dissemination. Asset Management tasks include fixed asset management and documentation. Responsibilities: • Open packaging and verify incoming materiel against open purchase orders. • If fixed asset, enter serial number & asset number into EMR system and apply SAP fixed asset tag. • Interoffice ship recorded fixed assets and other materiel to end user recipient either on campus or off-site (DHL process).  • CSS Ticket Monitoring for all inbound assigned tickets to the IS/AM team and respond within IRT/MPT parameters to fulfill ticketed requests. • Material Resource Planning (MRP) system operation and fulfillment including distribution from stock based on SRM order reservations and maintenance of minimum stock levels based on monthly depletion run rate. • Assist with gathering, documenting, processing and sell-off of obsolete equipment on a quarterly basis. • Conduct physical inventory on a periodic and annual basis as required. Interface and coordinate with asset owners to locate assets. • Input and process SRM “shopping cartsâ€� including obtaining best pricing through the purchasing organization, entries into CIC tool and entry into SRM. • Excellent written and oral communication skills for administrative related issues and the handling of technical IT-oriented products. • Ability to prioritize and organize work flow. • Ability to manage a basic project. Qualifications: • Requires 4+ years professional experience in Asset Management and Internal Services (material procurement & handling) for medium to large high tech organizations. • Previous supervisor/leadership experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Candidate must be fluent in the administration & operation of internal use high tech products asset management and procurement, supporting a fast paced high demand software development shop. • Competency in high quality professional customer service, as well as administrative skills in order processing, receipt and dissemination is required. • Bachelor’s Degree (B. A. or B.S.) or Equivalent • Specific areas of specialization: Procurement, goods receipt, inventory, asset management.Skills/Capabilities: • Testable clear fluency with MS Office with a focus on PowerPoint, Word and Excel. • Type 45-50 wpm. • Ability to lift 30 lbs on an ongoing basis. • Excellent communication skills - oral and written. • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Adaptable problem resolution and conflict management skills. • Ability to work independently or with all levels of management. Results oriented with ability to meet deadlines - Well developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the capability and determination to bring innovative solutions to fruition. • Excellent organizational and detail oriented skills. Ability to organize workload, ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Pro-active - Dependable, mature judgment.
