Demonstrate recognized expertise in the technical coding and clinical aspects of consulting engagements, while also maintaining expertise as a HIM coding professional sufficient to carry out individually assigned project duties. Serve as a coach to new consultants/development team to facilitate the use of technologies, tools, process and consulting skills. Maintain expertise in a functional area sufficient to execute project management duties and effectively execute assigned technical tasks within an area of healthcare specialties. Assigned tasks include medical record coding, DRG, APR, assignment engagements, coding edits and other related products and programs as well as specialty areas. Participation in, as well as oversight of, new service development and ongoing service delivery improvement including, but not limited to, initial program components, customization of new work plans, evolution of manuals, DocMS and Horizon software, as well as reporting and monitoring processes. Conduct formal presentations to 3M sales teams, webinars to customers, hospital board of directors, medical staff and hospital administration. Location:This is an Atlanta, GA based position, but can be located anywhere in the U.S., accessible to a major airport Compensation and Benefits Information:This position is a 3M Health Information Systems, Inc position and is therefore not a 3M benefited position. Basic/Minimum Qualifications: Accredited baccalaureate degree in a physical or biological science or a business or health information degree Current RN licensure or HIM credentials(RHIT or RHIA) or other nationally recognized professional coding, healthcare credential Five years experience as a 3M Project Manager or seven years experience as a Project Manager in an national/regional consulting firm Six years healthcare coding experience Ability to travel up to 50% nationallyPreferred Qualifications: Primary skillset of coding accuracy, coding technical knowledge and technical knowledge of DRG Assurance deliverables Previous coding quality audit skills, experience with edit writing and development of compliance edits preferred AP and I-10 knowledge a plus Performance (SMART) Objectives: The following describes the most important objectives the person filling this position will need to meet within the first year in order to be successful in the position: 1.Client satisfaction: Achieve a 4 (scale of 5) and a client reference on each engagement2.Meet team utilization of 75% and individual utilization of 65%.
