Information Architect/Technical Writer
Responsibilities:
Write and structure SGML/XML content for operation, disassembly, troubleshooting, and installation of aerospace components
Adhere to deadlines and comply with requirement specifications for military, commercial, domestic, and international customers
Qualifications:
2+ years experience writing equipment maintenance manuals to the component disassembly level
Experience using Arbortext to create SGML/XML content
Basic technical writing/editing and analytical skill sets
Experience interpreting engineering data to write aircraft operating procedures/checklists/descriptions
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English Writing, or Communications
Familiarity with FrameMaker, Microsoft Project and Excel preferred
Knowledge of SGML/XML templates/schema, document data types, common source databases, content management, file structures, publishing systems, illustrated parts data, S1000D specification, international writing standards, Simplified Technical English, FAA certification procedures/requirements, and document control a plus
