IT jobs USA: SQL Server Database Administrator

CGI is looking for several SQL Server Database Administrators (DBAs) to join our Federal Business Unit in Durham, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team.

The successful candidate will be able to provide senior SQL Server DBA development, support and services to both internal and external clients. Candidates must be comfortable with working in new environments, and communicating face-to-face with new clients in a technical setting. The ability to work well in a team environment is essential. The abilities to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to change are critical.

Technical Skills

• Senior SQL Server 2008 experience

• Some experience in at least one of DB2 LUW, Oracle, or Sybase

• Overall IT knowledge of operating systems, networks, storage devices, etc and how they relate to your database environment

• Database design and development

• Database installation, configuration, maintenance and support

• Database performance monitoring and tuning

• Database backup and recovery procedures

• Database security

• Database replication

• Logical and Physical Data modeling

• Data conversion and data loading
