Information Technology The Rutgers University Foundation was incorporated in 1973 as a semiautonomous division of the University and is responsible for soliciting funds from private sources. We are currently seeking TWO APPLICATION DEVELOPERs: APPLICATION DEVELOPER (Job #11-1081) Reporting to the Director Application Development and User Support, this APPLICATION DEVELOPER is responsible for software development of applications and web-sites to support the development and alumni operations of the University. In this role, theAPPLICATION DEVELOPERwill design, program and test applications and reports, as well as perform analysis of available software tools, and make recommendations to management of possible changes or upgrades. Will work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Performs other duties, as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, two to three years experience in application programming. Experience in ASP.NET, Crystal Reports, Crystal Enterprise, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript and Visual Basic is preferred. This position plays a leadership role in the gathering of requirements for the analysis, design, development and implementation of information systems, as well as writing complex structured program code. This role is responsible for project management and application administrative responsibilities. Will also develop and maintain the RUF/Alumni Relations online community website. Performs other duties, as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent education and experience with three or more years experience in application and/or web programming. Must have experience and the ability to work independently on ASP.NET, Crystal Reports, Crystal Enterprise, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle PL/SQL and HTML, JavaScript and Visual Basic. Requires knowledge of content management systems, internet security practices, ecommerce/credit card processing, broadcast email, HTML, web design and/or other features.
