IT Training and Development Specialist
Job Summary:
The IT Training and Development Specialist reports to the Training and Communications Program Manager and is responsible for developing, administering, evaluating, and enhancing a full-scale training program for Information Services Division (ISD) staff numbering 300+ associates. The IT Training and Development Specialist is also responsible for fostering training capabilities of management and staff, and ensuring consistency in training sessions offered throughout ISD division.
Essential Functions: Build the foundational plan for a comprehensive IT training and learning program.Develop a skills assessment tool to be used by ISD Management to perform skills gap analyses.Work with Human Resources through the initial build-out phases of corporate e-learning portal. Update content on e-learning portal.Develop and manage content on a new IT Training and Learning Portal.Design and develop technical training programs.Coordinate training sessions on new applications and technology skill sets.Maintain records of training programs and user progress.Work with Training and Communications Specialist to deliver, plan for, and promote internal training program initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Organizational Development,
Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
2. 4+ years developing and implementing a comprehensive training program.
3. Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for technical
staff.
4. Experience with MS Office and knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
5. Exposure to and familiarity with technical applications, such as: Object Modeling, SQL
Server, Visual Studio, and Business Process Management Systems.
6. Exposure to and familiarity with coding languages, such as: C++, ASP.Net.
7. Experience with System Oriented Architecture (SOA).
