IT Support Specialist

Centene Corporation is a leading multi-line healthcare enterprise that provides managed-care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits under Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).Position Purpose: Provide IT Support to all staff which includes answering the Service Desk Line, provide customers with needed information, resolve the problems, or provide specific service. This person is expected to resolve a high percentage of common problems or route service matters. Knowledge/Experience: Associate’s degree or relevant work experience. 1-2 years of IT experience preferred.Position Responsibilities:• Support to all end-user questions and support requests which includes answer the Service Desk support line, resolve the problem, document in a Remedy Call Tracking System and ensure follow-through, if the call is passed to another person. Maintain service level agreements on response turnaround and set end-user expectations for resolution time. • Work closely with other IT staff to insure clear communication on outstanding issues and user problems. • Work as a team to distribute outstanding support problems and/or requests to even workload, establish priorities, and meet deadlines. • Desktop support of all Company standard applications including but not limited to Windows 2000/XP, Office 2000/2003, Blackberry’s and associated applications, Antivirus, Email, and communication applications. Research and propose new solutions. • Work directly with second-level support, to resolve difficult problems including LAN, WAN, and special application issues. • Responsible for adhering to established security procedures. • Maintain and develop technical skills through combination of self-education and formal training. • Will be in rotation on the on-call schedule.Associate's Degree,Communication Skills,Microsoft Outlook
