Job Responsibilities:

This role is for an IT Security Analyst. The candidate will join an existing Information Security team that has responsibility for supporting the operation and implementation of FISMA information security solutions for a global think tank. The candidate will enforce and implement information security policy, standards and guidelines for business operations and technology implementations. Candidate will also proactively identify information security risks including technical implementations and business processes.



Key Responsibilities may include:

* Participating in the evaluation, development, and implementation of security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments
* Identifying emerging vulnerabilities and evaluating associated risks and threats
* Participate in security control assessments and requirements gathering
* Utilize current business capabilities to identify improvement and changes
* Participate and/or lead in refining policy, documents, work instructions, and work flow, as applicable
* Interface with business to assess compliance and information security needs.



Skills Prerequisites:

1. Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices
2. General understanding of security protocols and standards
3. Experience with FISMA, HIPAA, PCI, and Privacy Act compliance requirements
4. Experience with FISMA security control auditing
5. Strong familiarlity with the NIST Special Publication 800 series
6. Must have at least a Bachelors Degree in a technology or business related field
7. Candidate for CISSP and other industry certifications preferred
8. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field, 1-2 years in government information security
9. Highly developed customer service skills
10. Attention to detail
11. Auditing experience a plus
