IT Acquisition Specialist

You will lead or co-lead support for the government program offices in the support, development, and execution of acquisition strategies. Key Functions· Support the formulation and execution of acquisition strategies· Refine and validate requirements, write planning documentation such as acquisition plans, source selection plans, and risk management plans· Work closely with the customer to support the development of source selection strategies and teams· Write solicitation documentation such as sections of the Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)· May be required to lead in source selections, supporting the analysis and evaluation of contractor proposals. Additionally, this will entail the managing and assessing risk and the development of risk mitigation strategies throughout the acquisition process. Requirements· BS or equivalent · Minimum of 7 years of general acquisition experience, preferably in the information technology arena. Prefer experience specifically supporting federal acquisition activities.· Strong technical, verbal, and written skills with the ability to effectively lead small teams and interact at both the technical and management levels. · Experience in small team leadership strongly desired. · Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition regulation (FAR) and DoD 5000 Series.· Experience with DoD and/or civil agencies in the acquisition domain strongly desired. · Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials. · Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) desirable.
