Hyperion Consultant

The Proven Method is seeking both a Hyperion Administrator and a Hyperion Functional Support expert for permenant positions in Houston, TX.  We are targeting to do interviews next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (9/16 - 9/18) --  please apply now!  We are in the process of completing a knowledge transfer and need to hire permenant employees to help with the transition from Oracle ASAP.

We are working with Hyperion Version 9.3.1, but experience with 9.2 would be applicable, too.  We prefer candidates with strong Essbase skills who can assist in the initial implementation of the planning and financial reporting.

Requirements Hyperion Administrator:

The Hyperion Administrator will be responsible for day to day administration of the Hyperion application environment, including Essbase, Planning, Shared Services, WorkSpace, Smartview and Web Analysis Studio.  The Hyperion Administrator will serve as the focal for all administrative functions associated with the Hyperion applications, in the Production, QA and Development environments.  This position will participate in the gathering of technical requirements, and support the design, implementation and maintenance of the Hyperion environment.  This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for maintaining Hyperion application environments, including Production, QA and Development.

• Responsible for monitoring and validating completion of daily loads and refreshes of dimensions and data.

• Develop and/or maintain security groups and models for all Hyperion applications.

• Create and maintain calc scripts, MAXL scripts, data load rules, variables and business rules.

• Provide administrative support for testing and implementation of software upgrades.

• Perform change management, including promotion of application changes and enhancements from Development to QA, QA to Production.

• Provide administrative support to the Hyperion Support Specialist for all Level 2 technical and functional support.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation associated with the Hyperion environment.

• Design, construct and test application code as it relates to fixing known issues.

• Provide technical and administrative support for implementation of software upgrades.

• Investigate and assist in the resolution of any day to day production issues.

• Work with other team members to coordinate and resolve data issues flowing through to the Hyperion environment.

Hyperion Functional Support Specialist: 

The Hyperion Support Specialist will be responsible for day to day support of the Hyperion application suite, including Essbase, Planning, WorkSpace, Smartview and Web Analysis Studio.  The Hyperion Support Specialist will serve in both a technical and functional role in the support initiatives of the Hyperion environment.  This position will participate in the gathering of business requirements, and support the design, implementation and maintenance of the Hyperion environment.  This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide Level 2 technical and functional support resolution for data loads and refreshes

• Provide Level 2 support assistance for end users having trouble creating or running reports.

• Provide Level 2 support assistance for end users having trouble with Forms or Smartview.

• Design, construct and test application code as it relates to fixing known issues.

• Provide technical and functional support for testing and implementation of software upgrades.

• Support unit testing and user acceptance testing for new functionality and/or enhancements.

• Provide quality assurance review of all Reports and Forms.

• Investigate and assist in the resolution of any day to day production issues.
