Helpdesk Analyst

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Customer Support/Client Care Helpdesk Analyst TEKsystems is looking for a Help Desk Technician for a large local company in the Eagan, MN area. This is a 6 month "renewable" contract opportunity. Here's an outstanding opportunity to begin in a contract role and then prove oneself allowing for the opportunity to go on permanently. 24x7 Helpdesk Qualifications: * Strong customer service skillsthe most important. * Great interpersonal skills and oral skills. * Experience troubleshooting first and second level issues that are technical (Windows 2000/Vista, MS Office and MS Outlook) and non-technical. * Flexibility for rotating shift. * Candidates must have over 1+ years of experience with phone support. Complete Description: The Help Desk is 24 x 7, 365 days a year support group. During training the position is generally M-F 8 hours per day. Once training is completed (about 4-6 months depending on ability) the person goes into a rotation. The shifts are four 10 hour shifts and they rotate monthly. The schedule is set a year at a time. The consultant will provide phone support to worldwide internal customers and business partners. This phone support directly affects the continued operations of the clients's computer systems. Troubleshoot functional and technical problems and drive issues to resolution. Provide verbal and/or written communication to support personnel to ensure minimum equipment / applications downtime. Must have a broad knowledge of networks, systems (mainframe/distributed), applications, LAN's and/or hardware. Must have the ability to provide above average telephone support and strong customer service skills. The assignment for this position is for six (6) months. The contractor is necessary to support the current operation and support new application and infrastructure implementation. .
