HRIS Leader, Director of Human Resources Information Systems - $2B organization
This position provides a high level of human resources expertise with a specific focus on global HRIS systems, data integrity, business process procedures, compliance, and business analytics. This position is responsible for the management of cost-effective HRIS solutions while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Manages HRIS staff to effectively deliver services to Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, and Functional Business Units. Provide guidance and support for all HRIS related business products including OPEN4, Oracle, SumTotals Performance & Learning Management applications, PeopleClick (Applicant Tracking System) ATS, and other 3rd party support applications. Approximately 10 – 20% travel required
Job Responsibilities:
• Directs the establishment and on-going administration of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to support short and long-range Human Resource goals.
• Oversees the specification, development and implementation of new or redesigned HRIS systems, reports and policies and procedures for internal use.
• Manage the coordination of correct, efficient, and effective use of Boart Longyear Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as they relate to HR, Benefits, and Payroll processes and interfaces. Designs and develops formal course content for instructor-led and self-paced training material for HR and Payroll applications. Design HRIS related security protocols and processes. Review all service request tickets for compliance.
• Supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
• Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors and ensures the development of proper training and documentation for HRIS system use and maintenance.
• Consults with other functional groups or department management in developing company-wide use of HRIS functions.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of seven to ten years of directly related management experience (with a focus on HRIS).
• Prior experience working with global ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft. Working knowledge of third party applications including ADP, Ceridian payroll applications.
• Professional certification in human resources preferred.
• Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools.
• Extensive knowledge of HR business process/procedures, and compliance
• Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Interpret laws and advise management accordingly.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage change.
