Group: The Online Services and Windows Business Group (OSW) is a recently formed group combining the online services businesses of Windows Live and MSN, and Windows Client, a $15B per year business. Job Description:Join the team that will play a key role in defining how software is delivered and consumed in the future. We are seeking an experienced technical leader to help drive and build powerful software that will enable Microsoft and the ISV community to securely deliver software to millions of users in new and innovative ways that drive customer demand. This is an opportunity to work in a startup environment within Microsoft on a young, shipping product that plays a key role in defining the future for software business models. Our ideal candidate is a proven leader with a passion for obtaining results that impact the bottom line. The candidate we seek will have a minimum track record of six years of successful senior leadership and will have preferably been a part of shipping 2-3 products. Experience that demonstrates proven results of implementing agile processes, building strategic relationships, and driving business results is a must. Responsibilities:· Key leadership role. Work with senior leaders to define product strategy, guide the prioritization of investments and drive business goals. Establish a product roadmap based on insight, grounded in the group’s business goals.· Technical management. Lead project from idea through launch and facilitate technical development working in partnership with an extended team including design, operations and support.· Manage the program management team. Build and nurture a solid team, manage schedules, and external dependencies.· Build partner relationships. Identify internal and external partnering opportunities, engage high-potential partners and drive for business results. Key Competencies:· Leadership of people and teams and a well connected internal and external social network with the ability to open doors and create win-win opportunities between projects, people and businesses· Cross Boundary Collaboration. Experienced at developing strong working relationships with other groups· Excellent communication skills. Represent your team, ideas and projects to many constituencies· Proven ability to think strategically and identify market-breakthrough opportunities from ideas solicited throughout the company· A bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering.
