Job Description **Game Test Analysts (GTA)** Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc In partnership with Nelson Staffing Solutions Is seeking: Game Test Analysts (GTA)  The Game Test Analyst will be working on some of Sony Computer Entertainment's biggest up-and-coming franchises on the Sony PlayStation 3. We are looking for passionate gamers, with a vast knowledge of all types of video-game genres including action, first-person shooter, racing and casual.  Position Overview: The GTA will perform various duties involving the QA testing of hardware and software for SCEA game titles. They will be working within a team-based environment along with SCEA employees. Game evaluations, a process that measures the functionality of the game and the specific design recommendations to address problems and increase playability. Provide feedback on functionality of game play and the game itself, thus providing positive and actionable feedback to First Party PlayStation games. Responsible for helping to generate concise written reports that detail the findings and result of said discrepancies. Identifying and reporting bugs within the title, working with Product Development and QA Teams to ensure bug fixes and analyze regressed code as well as help to diagnose issues discovered during QA testing through well documented defects that properly identify and analyze each discrepancy. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Tracking of defects (bugs) within a game application • Proficiently researching and writing bugs • Using and inputting bugs into a Defect Tracking System Bonus skills: • C/C++ • Linux • Networking Requirements: Must be 18 years of age Excellent Analytical and Problem Solving Skills Excellent English Verbal and Written Skills Expert player in various game genres both offline and online. (Sports game experience a huge plus) Working knowledge of game QA methodology and terminology 1-2 years experience in QA and/or software testing preferred (Networking experience a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail oriented Knowledge of MS Office Applications and other Computer basics. Must have a flexible schedule in order to work overtime and weekends when needed. These are short-term assignments (3-6 months on average). Compensation: $12.00/hour  Make your dream come true.
