GUI WEB DEVELOPERDescription: Volt is seeking a Web Developer with experience developing graphical user interfaces for web-based systems needed to support various projects. The successful candidate will perform the following duties: The preferred candidate will support CDC's National Center for Environmental Health and will be involved in all phases of web development from evaluation, analysis and design to development and subsequently to ongoing maintenance/support. The candidate will develop new web sites in accordance with CDC and Section 508 guidelines. Responsibilities will include working with the customer to determine functionality needs, development and potential prototyping, documentation, interfacing with other development efforts, project coordination and management, and implementation.*Volt is an equal opportunity employer.* Requirements: **US CITIZEN****No Agencies Please.**The successful candidate should be able to provide code samples from programming work. Mid to senior level .NET, XML, SQL, VB, ASP, CSS, HTML, and DHTML programming skills. Must have 3 or more years of experience.Ability to provide specialized expertise in the design and layout of graphical user interfaces, particularly web-based screen and presentation layouts used in website design. Ability to consult with subject matter experts for functionality, ease of use, efficiency and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and demonstrated innovative abilities. Strong attention to detail. Experience with web publishing processes and schemas and meta-tagging technology.
