Functional Business Analyst
This is a long term contract in San Jose for a Functional Business Analyst. Local Bay Area candidates will be preferred and an in person interview is required for this position.
Position: Functional Business Analyst
The business analyst will be responsible for understanding service business requirements and developing the impact/solution assessments.
The primary role of this BA is to:
Assist program/project managers lead broad-based/cross functional changes to implement the operational aspect of a new (or modified) service program, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and increasing customer satisfaction. Come up with recommendations to support the program requirements by deep diving in process or system areas (i.e. process mapping, BRD development, requirements gathering, etc.)
Assist with increasing adoption and awareness of launched programs by providing support on resolving sub-optimal operational processes/systems/policy. Educate and document the operational components of these launched programs. Provide feedback into future foundational systems on specific detailed requirements.
Lead small team optimization projects to help increase the effectiveness of the team, current processes and engagement models.
The BA will play a key role in the project management and analysis required to create and enhance the processes, policies, and sales tools which will support these new or modified programs as they are brought to market, with the operational focus being on the Idea to Offering (New Program setup and creation), Market to Contract (Forecasting, Contract Management, Partner Management) and Quote to Invoice (Quoting, Ordering, Booking, Revenue Recognition, Invoicing) functional areas
Required skills/qualifications:
At least 6 years of hands on experience as a Senior Business Analyst
Minimum 8-10+ years of related work experience required.
Desired skills/experience:Strength in structured problem solving methodologies (i.e. DMAIC) Ability to identify and analyze complex program, process and tool requirements Experience in the Technology Services Industry Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams to capture requirements and develop solutions Ability to formulate implementation options and help achieve win-win solutions for internal stakeholders, Customers and Partners Strong understanding of industry business processes related to service product lifecycle, sales, order fulfillment, billing and service cycle Works independently with minimal supervision required Excellent written, oral and presentation skills to audiences of all levels Direct contact with customers, partners, employees, and mid to executive levels of management Strong cross-functional business knowledge Strong partnering, influencing and communication skills for all levels (i.e. individuals at the peer, management and executive level)
