About IT 

We are the largest .net e-commerce organization in Southern CA with platform scalability that, during our peaks, equates to a revenue run rate of approx. 6 billion. In addition to an e-commerce front-end, we also develop and maintain a complex supply chain platform that has a wide reach across the U.S. We support a distributed SOA based architecture with a wide range of technologies including but not limited to ASP.NET, AJAX, Web Services, and related technologies. Our IT group partners with business in creating creative strategic business solutions for both the

e-commerce and supply chain systems.

 

Overall Role

Provide Commerce is looking for an experienced Front End Engineer who will work in an extremely fast paced and agile environment. This position will work alongside an inter-disciplinary team to develop stable, high performance web interfaces which align with our business needs. Our Front-End Engineers are inherently driven to work on a wide range of projects and business processes—utilizing proper development technologies, industry standards, and best practices. Front-End Engineers are comfortable working independently, as well as collaboratively, to define optimal implementation strategies.

 

Requirements

4+ years of industry experience coding HTML/CSS in an e-commerce environment employing:

  - Cross browser compatible development techniques

  - XHTML standards compliant code

  - Understanding of, and experience with, coding accessible web sites

3 years experience with using/developing with JavaScript

2 years experience developing applications in an Object Oriented language (C#.net is strongly preferred)

2 years experience using Photoshop (optimizing image sizes, slicing images)

2 years working in collaborative check-in / check-out coding environment.
