Tom Sawyer Software is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Flex Software Engineer. As a member of our Product Development team, this person will design, develop, and test Tom Sawyer's data visualization technologies. This person will also participate in sales engineering, customer support, and consulting services.Responsibilities

· Primarily, develop data visualization software and applications

―  Work closely with the architectural team to refine requirements and designs

―  Implement software components

―  Collaborate with the documentation team to produce clear and accurate product documentation

―  Test software to ensure consistent quality and adherence to company standards

· Participate in Sales Engineering

―  Guide prospects and customers through product evaluations

―  Travel to visit prospects and customers

―  Perform consulting and training projects

· Provide Technical Support

―  Assist customers in resolving technical problems Qualifications

· B.S. in Computer Science

· Minimum of two years of software development experience

· Experience with object-oriented software design and development

· Fluency in English with clear, confident, and succinct oral and written communication skills

· Ability and willingness to travel

· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentSpecific Qualifications

Experience in developing Flex Applications:

· Experience writing large applications using Adobe Flex or Adobe AIR

· Expertise with ActionScript and the Flex 3 and Flash libraries

· Ability to write Java server-side components, ideally using BlazeDS
