Flash/Actionscript Developer (SIM)

 



We are seeking an experienced Flash/Actionscript Developers to join a team developing training simulations for a US Navy contract in Manassas, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a major government contractor on state of the art technology. Opportunity for advancement with dedicated pro active professionals. We will obtain security clearances for qualified candidates.

 

The following skills are desirable:

 

1. Familiar with strict AS 2.0/3.0 object-oriented programming.

 

2. Proven ability to develop classes, sub-classes and components for Flash applications.

 

3. Understanding of the use of inheritance and interfaces in classes.

 

4. Experience defining, accessing, and organizing class packages.

 

5. Using event listeners and exception handling in innovative ways to maximize interactivity opportunities and streamline development cycles.

 

6. Experience with integration and manipulation of XML data in Flash applications.

 

7. Familiar with the Model-View-Controller design pattern.

 

8. Experience working on projects with shared assets and libraries and understand the use of content management and versioning system.

 

9. Comfortable working with the Flash time line and tools to import and edit graphics and manipulate movie clips.

 

10. Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Contract Term: Long-term, 40+ hours/week
