Job Description:
This position supports the Finance organization with the technical design, creation, implementation, preparation and distribution of financial reports. The individual will leverage their knowledge of Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SQL, HTML, and/or XML to assist with the creation and automation of these reports. This position also serves as the project manager for related reporting initiatives. The individual will report to the Director of FP&A, but will support the entire Finance and Accounting organization.  
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities:  
-Serve as main point of contact for the creation and maintenance of all financial reports -- actively address report requests, clearly communicating commitments, issues, completion dates and status with requestor and with management.  
-Gather report specifications from the key financial business owners.  
-Interface with IT to determine the best methodology for creating a secure, accurate, efficient and repeatable methodology for extracting data from a variety of databases.  
-Summarize large volumes of complex data into clear and concise summary and detail level reports.  
-Extract quarterly, monthly, and/or weekly expense data for use in report generation.  
-Requires significant manipulation of raw data and segmentation of results to produce a variety of reports. All reports are prepared in management summary format as well as with detailed backup for more in depth analysis.  
-Work in the various automated systems to gather necessary data. Review data and proactively seek information from various business owners regarding exceptions or categorization of data.  
-Calculate and track financial and operational metrics  
-Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required for use by senior management in decision-making.  
-Work with the Financial Analysts to create, maintain, and publish department-level reporting dashboards to facilitate the assessment of the health of individual departments as well as the entire organization

Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, MIS, or Computer Science.  
-1-3 years experience in a Financial/Reporting Analysis position.  
-Ability to proactively interact with various individuals to ensure data for use in analysis is accurate and representative of true results.  
-Advanced systems experience in MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic.  
-SQL, SQL Server, HTML, & XML experience a plus.  
-Data Warehouse design and/or maintenance experience a plus.  
-Demonstrated ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy in reporting.  
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  
-Understanding of Financial principals.  
-Knowledge of Oracle ERP, SalesLogix, Concur a plus.
