Position: Financial Data Analyst
Location: Downtown
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Company Description: This Company is a proprietary trading firm.
Requirements: BS/BA degree. Coursework in statistics, finance, and computer science. At least two years of LINUX and scripting experience (Perl, Python, SQL). At least two years of relevant work experience in financial markets. Highly detail-oriented and well organized. Able to multi-task and work under pressure. Capable of building scalable and robust processes.
Duties: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly procedures to collect and analyze data for automated trading operation. Define and implement new procedures as needed for data collection and analysis. Develop and maintain documentation and standards. Ensure smooth trading operations by performing regular data integrity checks. Perform statistical analyses to optimize system inputs and system performance. Identify, track, and maintain metrics for trading system operations. Maintain logs, produce reports, and record data according to procedures. Identify and respond to system incidents and problems, including performing troubleshooting procedures and escalating as necessary. Assist in the investigation of system incidents and problems. Select and implement software tools to support execution and management of procedures. Work with colleagues to identify and develop opportunities to enhance and improve trading system procedures. Support the quantitative/financial engineers with their data and script writing requirements.
