The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of marketing strategies and tactics at the regional level. This individual will also support and assist with the creation, implementation and management of local and regional marketing/lead generation campaigns, events and user groups. This position will report to the Director, Field Marketing and will interface with corporate marketing and existing field sales management to execute marketing programs locally.

This individual will be responsible for managing a regional marketing budget and for supporting brand-building events and marketing promotions; identifying local sponsorship opportunities and helping to implement local Blue Coat user groups. The overall goal is to generate leads and increase awareness of the Blue Coat brand through increased regional marketing, while helping to increase revenue in the region. Required Skills



* Use strategic skills to develop quarterly and yearly plans to increase awareness for Blue Coat customers, prospects and channel partners.

* Work with channel partners to develop quarterly business plans to increase sales and brand awareness.

* Manage local marketing efforts and events to achieve maximum attendance, publicity and regional growth.

* Coordinate with Corporate Marketing to develop, implement and assist in regional follow up of appropriate direct marketing campaigns.

* Interface and maintain productive relationship with marketing vendors

* Work with internal departments to deliver marketing materials and review proofs

* Provide marketing support to sales leadership throughout the region.

* Manage and support local events.

* Maintain reports on ROI and market trends.

* Write a monthly marketing newsletter for field sales.

* Must be able to travel Required Experience



* Bachelor's degree with marketing, communications and/or business orientation or similar work experience.

* 7+ years' of successful experience in the field of marketing, product management, creative direction, strategic marketing planning, or business development work/assignments.

* Proven experience in developing strategic marketing plans to achieve specific business objectives and include specific, measurable, achievable and relevant goals.

* Marketing communications experience and general working knowledge in the areas of trade shows and exhibits, graphic design, electronic and print collateral.

* Outstanding presentation, verbal/written skills and the ability to motivate and able to work closely with field sales to form dynamic partnerships, effective professional relationships, and cross-functional teams.

* Demonstrated long-term commitment to personal professional development and keeping up-to-date with changes in the area of marketing.
