US Public Sector Headquarter Sales has an available Federal Sales Inside Account Manager position responsible for accounts in the Federal District.

This Chevy Chase, MD, based position is responsible for working collaboratively with a field based sales team to create account and territory plans to accomplish sales objectives. This role will contact customers and potential customers primarily by phone, Live Meeting and Groove. The majority of the accounts have an established relationship with Microsoft.

 

The role is focused on uncovering new sales opportunities, working with customers and business partners to drive revenue and improve customer satisfaction. A proven track record of effective management of wide variety of virtual teams to support revenue opportunities is essential. Broad knowledge of current Microsoft Business Product Offerings and Volume Licensing Programs (Enterprise Agreement and Select) is expected.

Demonstrating an understanding of and having the ability to use Solution Selling techniques is required.

 

The successful candidate will have a track record of developing business relationships and selling products or programs via the telephone and a strong customer orientation.

 

Qualifications for the job include:  Strategic approach to selling solutions positioned to solve customer issues  Ability to think and act independently to meet the customer needs and expectations  8+ years enterprise sales experience selling technology-based solutions  Extensive experience selling to the US Government  Strong phone based inside sales business development and prospecting skills  Skilled at developing deep customer business relationships and selling solutions to senior IT and executive level business decision makers Formal training in Solution Selling methodology or comparable consultative selling program expected  Experience selling through a partner channel and demonstrated skills to effectively leveraging partners to advance sales cycle and achieve greater customer scale  Knowledge of Microsoft competitors' products and selling strategies  Strong communication and presentation skills  Ability to work as an overlay resources in a collaborative team environment

 

 

Education: BA / BS Required; Masters preferred or comparable post graduate work experience
