We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our Facilities team in our corporate headquarters located in McLean, VA! Job Description: This role will be responsible for managing the building operations for MicroStrategy’s corporate headquarters and North American facilities locations including coordination and control of key operating and maintenance functions as well as safety and security. In addition, we are seeking a professional with prior experience supervising and mentoring a staff for this growing, fast paced department. Job Responsibilities: · Manage facilities operations to provide a pleasant and safe work environment for employees, visitors and customers· Plan, lead and coordinate all aspects of future office moves· Responsible for all MSTR facilities and general building maintenance programs· Manage environmental Health and Safety standards· Provide hands-on management and individual support for a variety of facilities projects· Assist with space planning and expansion for North American facilities· Assist with creation of floor plans, determine construction specifications, evaluate contractor bids, and present recommendations to Vice President, Global Commercial Real Estate Operations· Coordinates employees’ relocations, working in accordance with corporate space planning while adhering to workplace standards· Maintains current seat assignment and availability for HQ building · Serve as primary point of contact for Field office needs including landlord, property management, and Field offices employees· Manage key vendors in support of general facilities and corporate administration activities and recommend new service contracts · Assist with identifying high quality service and cost effective solutions across critical business support functions (facilities operations, furniture, storage, shipping, copiers, vending machines, office supplies, etc)· Provide front-line support for office administration needs comprising all Corporate and domestic Field employees· Assist with creating safety procedures, in conjunction with Corporate Security Officer, for use in the event of accidents, fires, or other emergencies· Oversee the office services staff and primary support operations including facilities, mailroom, office supplies, office equipment, etc.· Assist the Manager, Worldwide Real Estate and Admin with all MSTR projects worldwide Job Requirements: · Proven prior experience with and good working knowledge and understanding of commercial building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and system furniture.· 5-8 years experience in Facilities and Administrations.· 3+ years Office Management including staff supervision.· Organized, strong impeccable work habits, problem solving skills, effective time management skills, and attention to details.· Previous working experience with construction management preferred.· Computer savvy with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiar with CAD systems. · Good analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.· Good accounting/financial understating of cost controls and budgets.· Must be able to multi-task and work effectively in a high volume, customer service oriented and time sensitive work environment.· Strong knowledge of building systems, building codes, HVAC, and maintenance.· Strong ability to interface with vendors/contractors.· Customer service orientation.· Demonstrated experience in project management including proven ability to work with multiple constituencies and drive efforts spanning a wide range of functions· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience· Professional training and certification in facilities management preferredWork Conditions:Travel: This job will require some travel.
