FRONT-END WEB ENGINEER
Global Online Media Giant requires an experienced Front-end Web Engineer for an exciting product development effort. The Front-end Web Engineer will deploy creative design talents, front-end development skills and well-rounded experience in order to deliver cross-browser compatible designs and implementations. We value easy-to-use, sophisticated user interfaces that provides functionality commonly seen in cutting-edge Web 2.0 social network, video sharing and commerce sites. The front-end engineer participates in design
Requirements:
* Experience and expertise integrating innovative designs with cutting-edge technologies
* Able to take visual mock-ups and deliver optimized implementations using a variety of technologies including CSS, HTML, Javascript, JSPs, and front-end Java API's
* Expertise with cross-browser development practices, software design principles, OO concepts, and UI design and development practices
* Minimum of 4 years of User Interface Design specifically with a strong track record in interactive design and development
* Develop and maintain performance-optimized, cross-platform markup in CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
* Help establish and maintain front-end web development best practices and standards
* Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and to enable rapid iterative support for evaluative research
* Strong command of DHTML, including Javascript, AJAX, CSS, and DOM based development
* Experience with web page optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed)
* Adept at creating semantic, clean HTML and using CSS to separate the markup from its presentation
* Strong Javascript
* Experience working with Javascript (and other) APIs like Google and Yahoo maps
* Experience with XML and similar markup languages
* Experience with delivering video content or other rich-media in a web browser context
* Good at documenting his/her code in UML or other modeling standards
* BA/BS degree preferred
