FP&A Analyst

We protect against malware, spam, data leaks, and the newest Web threats designed to steal digital information.  Our unique solutions stop these threats where they first emerge – in the Internet – before they can attack corporate networks and PCs.  Founded in 1988,  Trend Micro operates globally and protects hundreds of millions of users in the office, at home and on the go.This person will function as a member of the US FP&A team supporting the Corporate (functional) departments.  They will also be responsible for the supervision of one Junior Analyst.  The position requires strong technical and analytical skills in the areas of: • Budgetary Planning • Forecasting • Business Analysis and Reporting • Project Evaluation & Investment AppraisalSolid past experience with FP&A groups at high growth companies and the ability to communicate effectively within a multi-functional team are critical in ensuring success in this position.  Prior experience creating financial / analytical models is required.Areas of Responsibility  • Support a variety of Corporate departments through expense reporting to understand their spending and manage their budgets • Conduct ad hoc analysis in support of investment appraisals and business decision making • Review contracts from a financial perspective by verifying that the budget exists for proposed costs and suggesting amendments where appropriate • Present analysis and recommendations to management • Build financial plans and determine the reasonableness of management’s assumptions • Work with the other Financial Analysts to develop a good understanding about Trend’s Revenue streams and their relationship to the Corporate departments • Coordinate with Financial Accounting and various functions in monthly / quarterly close • Supervise the work of one Junior Analyst • Provide training and review work performed by the Junior AnalystRequirements • At least 5 + years of overall experience including 3-5 years work experience in an analytical environment • Software industry experience an advantage • B.A., B.S. degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or CPA preferred • Strong understanding of financial operations and business planning and forecast processes • Skilled in Excel • Experience with Hyperion Planning / Essbase a plus • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team player  • Show initiative and potential to manage another person
