SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for Realistic Simulation, is seeking an Events Marketing Specialist in its Marketing Communications group based at the Providence, Rhode Island headquarters. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, this position is focused on the strategic development and tactical execution of our events marketing program. The person in this role will be vital to our effort to enhance SIMULIA’s brand awareness, drive lead generation, and maximize ROI on events.This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced B2B events professional who has passion, enthusiasm, and a proven record of planning and executing events focused on generating sales leads. The successful candidate must be able to find creative, efficient, and effective ways to bring the SIMULIA brand to life at events. Additionally, the position requires working with a diverse team from SIMULIA’s regional sales, product management, partner alliance, and marketing communications groups as well as the Dassault Systèmes corporate and field marketing department.Key skills for this position are project coordination, budget management, interpersonal communication, and sharp attention to detail. The ability to meet tight deadlines while working both independently and as part of a team is essential.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Coordinate and successfully implement a comprehensive global events program, consisting of nearly 100 events, that includes an annual proprietary user conference, third-party conferences and trade shows, regional seminars and user meetings, and webinars. • Manage an annual international user conference that draws 300+ attendees from our global customer and partner base. Coordinate and drive all facets of the event, including site selection, call for papers, promotion, partner program, workshops, agenda, and special activities. Requires managing a six-figure event budget. • Supervise trade show planning and logistics, including schedules, services, staffing, and shipping, and coordinate internal and external resources for content, graphics, promotion, and other event-related needs while meeting time and budget restrictions. • Manage scheduling, promotion, execution, and post-event wrap-up for approximately 10-12 corporate webinars per year. • Provide regular reports regarding status, performance to budget, and communication plans for the company’s scheduled conferences, trade shows, and other events. • Analyze programs for effectiveness, conducting post-event reporting and ROI analysis. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of event management experience, preferably in a high-tech industry.
