Summary
This position is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and evaluating activities and events for the Eloqua.
This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities; however, this position does manage outside vendors and certain employees for the purpose of managing events. This position requires occasional evening and/or weekend work and moderate travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Develops and writes a comprehensive, coordinated annual event plan including objectives, strategies, and tactics and performance measures, based on the corporate strategy.
• Plans, implements and manages corporate events including, but not limited to, the annual Eloqua user conference, large trade show events, localized breakfast meetings, and user group meetings in various locations throughout the world.
• Creates memorable experiences that are brand centric for event attendees and gift recipients.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of additional events including internal company meetings and events.

• Selects vendors/strategic partners and manages these relationships, including negotiating contracts with venues, caterers, florists, musicians, photographers, etc.
• Develops and manages budgets for all corporate events and activities, ensuring all events are executed on time and within budget
• Creates and manages event project schedules and timelines
- Ensures that all materials for events are properly assembled and available, including laptops for live demonstrations, pre-recorded demo loops, signage, lighting, and giveaways
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Five to seven years event marketing/management experience, including experience planning, managing and evaluating both large and small events; negotiating contracts; working with sponsorships
* Experience running events internationally, particularly in the UK, Germany and the Far East
• Marketing experience in the technology industry a plus

The physical ability to work a trade show, standing for long periods of time.
