Epic QA Tester

Job description: The selected candidate will be part of a team of testing analysts that conduct and coordinate testing activities of an electronic medical record system. Position Description: Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for working with business and technical staff in planning, executing, and documenting testing. Work with technical and business resources to understand requirements for each project affecting any component of application. Learn individual components of system to facilitate the development and execution of comprehensive test plans. Follow and enhance developed testing processes, procedures, or methodologies. Document test cases to meet desired test coverage goals. Assist with test automation effort. Work to minimize risk by identifying, communicating and escalating issues appropriately to management.Experience Level: 5-10 Years. At least 2 years experience testing EpicCare Systems applications and interfaced orders systems Responsibilities: * Plan, coordinate, and monitor progress of testing activities* Develop and execute detailed test plans with schedules* Develop and execute detailed test scenarios with expected results based on information provided by the implementation and testing teams* Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle * Record defects, triage and track the resolution of them, and test defect fixes* Review business requirements, workflows and functional and technical specifications for testability and consistency, and provide feedback* Prepare testing status reports and present findings to Supervisor/Management, escalating issues as neededQualifications: * Thorough understanding of testing/quality assurance techniques, practices, and processes* Experience testing Epic healthcare information systems in a structured manner * Experience in one or more of the following EPIC modules:Resolute Hospital BillingPreludeCadenceADTClarityHIM* Experience planning, and coordinating large or complex test efforts* Experience managing test environments* Experience creating and maintaining test data* Project management skills* Ability to work in a self-motivated, self-directed manner* Ability to recognize the need for and maintain security of confidential information; exercise judgment, tact, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information or systems.Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and understanding of EPIC workflow testing. Work with minimal supervision, but know when to ask the right questions. Must be analytical, detailed and team oriented. Individual should be results oriented, organized and self-motivated. Proven experience in providing superb client services and support.
