Nortel Government Solutions has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Voice Engineer located in Baltimore, MD. NGS seeks an Enterprise Voice Level Engineer to join our team! Job responsibilities include supporting and maintaining Nortel Communication Server 1000 solution. Candidate will provide system troubleshooting working closely and effectively with Nortel Global Technical Support team. Performs Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) for systems under maintenance; verification of the synchronization of inter-related systems (Telephony Manager, Common Network Directory Services, etc.) and system backups. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience: 10-12 yrs Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; 10-12 years overall with 3-5 years of troubleshooting and analysis skills and correcting problems in complex Nortel voice networks (preferably including VoIP), extensive knowledge of configuration options and parameters on Nortel products. Qualifications: The qualified candidate should possess knowledge of installation, configuration, and administration of relevant Nortel voice network management and configuration tools (e.g., Telephony Manager, Element Manager, etc.). Should have a  basic understanding of voice and data technologies as used in the enterprise network (e.g., TCP/IP, routing and switching, physical transmission media).
