Enterprise Solutions Implementation Engineer

eMeter is looking for a Deployment Engineer familiar with the installation and deployment of enterprise level software and who can contribute to the growth of the deployment services team. The qualified candidate will have 4-7 years experience in a fast paced environment and is capable of installing software in a UNIX, Oracle, Siebel, Tibco, Tomcat environment. This candidate should also be comfortable driving installation and deployment standards and works well in front of customers. Please send your resume to careers1@emeter.com

Responsibilities:

• Installation of the EnergyIP platform to both internal and external customers, including Siebel, Tibco, Jakarta – Tomcat in a Unix environment.
• Manage the deployment of software and maintence upgrades
• Develop, drive and document installation and deployment standards
• Stage and test deployments
• Drive process improvements and tool development to support the software deployment, installation and configuration process.

Required Skills / Key Experience and Characteristics

• Unix navigation and system administration preferably on multiple platforms including AIX, RedHat ES4, SUSE
• Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills
• Oracle 9i or 10G
• Good knowledge of Hardware and storage systems including RAID concepts.
• Experience with support, administration and / or installation of Enterprise level Software.
• Unix Shell Scripting

• Tibco Installation and Administration Experience
• Java Applications – Administration or Support
• Jakarta – Tomcat – Administration or Administration of other web applications
• Windows IIS
• SQL

This position requires a person who is a self-starter; professional, friendly, and reliable with a customer service minded, friendly attitude. The candidate should be a good communicator with an eye for detail. Must demonstrate an ability to be proactive with ‘take the ball and run’ approach.
