We are committed to providing exceptional opportunities for exceptional candidates.This is with our DIRECT Client Role: Enterprise Data ManagementDuration: 6 + MonthsLocation: LOS ANGELES, CAResponsibilities: * Provide leadership in realizing the benefits of data management, demonstrating its value, and establishing it as an integral service* Lead the development of enterprise data model artifacts that will make up the GIG Information Model (GIM)* Specify and implement standards, modeling tools, templates and governance processes required to manage the GIG Information Model* Maintain the GIG Enterprise metadata* Lead individuals from various backgrounds contributing to modeling tasks associated with GIM* Create a messaging XML Centre of Excellence and establish XML based message payload modeling standards* Analyze data integration requirements and create XML message specifications consistent with GIM* Create the domain reference XML schemas that will be re-used by individual message payload schemasSkills Required:12+ Yrs of IT Exp* Experienced in the creation of enterprise wide data models and definitions as well as the processes, methods and governance to achieve consistency of definition and structure.* Highly skilled in logical and physical relational data modelling/design* Skilled in developing Enterprise Message Models (Canonical Models) based on XML Schema* Excellent data analysis and facilitation skills, i.e. able to produce data models using a variety of inputs such as requirements analysis, SME interviews, business process and data flow analysis, data quality analysis, etc.* In depth knowledge of ER/Studio or similar data modelling tools/repositories.* Knowledgeable about commercial DBMS, especially Oracle, Sybase & SQL Server including familiarity with SQL* Familiarity with Enterprise Service Bus* Familiarity with data integration and data warehousing* Ability to work with geographically dispersed teamsSkills Desired: * Skilled in alternate modeling techniques - class/object, object role, UML, AMO, etc.* Knowledge of the securities or mutual fund industry* Knowledge of financial industry standard XML vocabularies* Knowledge of an ETL toolset(s), especially Informatica* Knowledge of a variety of information architecture themes such as EAI, EII, metadata management, MDM, data warehousing, data quality, data virtualization, SOA, etc.Please e-mail your resume to vsanas@gdii.com and a CC to recruiting@gdii.com / and please include JO-VS-EDM in the subject line of your email. for more information call Vaishali @ 734-786-3396
