Engineer, Staff (3208) DescriptionA windows driver developer position to develop a set of drivers/utilities to support FC over ethernet for the QLogic high performance network/storage adapters in the Windows Operating Systems.1. Design/Develop/Support FC over ethernet drivers, intermediate drivers and other necessary software components for the QLogic Ethernet/Storage Adapter in the Windows environment.2. Involve in all phases of development and support from requirement, design, coding, unit testing, benchmarking and support.3. Work closely with the Asic, Hardware, Firmware, EVT and DVT teams on resolving issues during unit and integrated testing.4. Ensure that the drivers are Microsoft WHQL compliance.5. Direct support of OEMs on their qualification testing.6. Provide necessary support with customers using this solution.7. Be available to work at customer site if requested.8. Ensure seamless integration of the driver to support other high performance network capabilities such as RDMA.Required Skills1. Hold a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.2. At least 5-10 years of driver development experience.3. Familiar with Windows operating and development environment and tools.4. Working experience in developing Windows network device drivers (NDIS miniport, Intermediate driver, etc.).5. Knowledge of higher level network protocols including TCP/IP and Windows socket programming.6. Experience in troubleshooting OS related, device driver and hardware level problems.7. Ability to understand technologies such as SAN, FC and/or iScsi.8. Good communication skills and must be able to work in team environment.
