The company serves customers with solutions based on all storage network technologies including SCSI, Internet SCSI (iSCSI) and Fibre Channel. Engineer, Principal (03079) DescriptionQLogic, a leading supplier of high performance storage networking solutions, has an immediate need for a AIX NIC Driver Development Engineer. This is a network driver position developing a set of Ethernet driver and utilities for QLogic 10G network adapters in the Aix operating environments.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develop 10G Ethernet driver and other software components to support the Aix operating environments.2. Participate in all phases of development and support from requirement, design, coding, unit testing, benchmarking and support.3. Work closely with the Asic, Hardware, Firmware, EVT and DVT teams on resolving issues during unit and integrated testing.4. Ensure that the solution passes the OEM qualification testing.5. Provide necessary support with customers using this solution.6. Be available to work at customer site if needed.Required SkillsBS degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and a minium of 10 years related experience with at least 5 – 10 years of driver development experience. Familiar with Aix/Unix network driver development using 10/100/G/10G Ethernet adapter and knowledge of higher level network protocols including TCP/IP and Unix socket programming required. Must have experience in troubleshooting OS related, device driver and hardware level problems and understand technologies such as SAN, FC and/or iScsi. Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in team environment required.
